About Ian
Ian Michie holds various qualifications:
- Higher National Diploma (HND) in Arboriculture – a high level qualification within the profession
- National Diploma in Horticulture
- National Proficiency Tests Council (NPTC)
certificates of competence in chainsaw and related operations
Practical experience: Since studying arboriculture at Myerscough College, Lancashire, in the late 1990’s, Ian has been able to experience an array of different work cultures and work methods. He has been employed as an arborist in Sydney, Dublin, North Carolina, London, Bournemouth and worked in the timber industry on Vancouver Island, British Columbia. After spending time in mainland Europe in 2007, Ian returned to begin establishing his own business in 2008.
Ian is a member of the International Society of
Arboriculture and has a commitment to his continued professional development.
